Making money as an affiliate isn’t all about the marketing. It’s also about choosing profitable products. Here’s how…

Tip #1: Choose products with proven track records. If you’re choosing products on Clickbank.com, then choose those at the top of their categories (i.e., the best sellers) and those with high gravity numbers (between about 75 and 150). As you already know, especially is you have signed up for my Building Your Email List Mini-Course
(Sign up at the top right hand corner of my web), people (your Target Market) use different words when they search online. These search terms are called keywords.

Keyword Research tools assist in discovering topics that people are currently searching for that are related to your market product or service. You would use these keywords in the articles you write, each day, that are each 250-500 words, relating to the topics your prospective market is searching for. Provide articles that
answer the readers’ questions in their searches.

Example: “Dog Training” when entered into Google Suggest
tells me that I should write articles about
“Dog Training Secrets” or “Dog Training New Jersey”.

And, of course, we all know that building our list is building our market contacts; rather we are a brick and mortar business, or an online marketer selling our own products and affiliate products.

What else can you do with them?

Do you have an email list? Are you submitting online articles?


  • When you send emails to your subscribers or send out your regular newsletter, post an article, do you stop at that? Have you heard of re-purposing?

Start posting the updates you send to your subscribers and your newsletters or ezines to your blog as well.

Friends will ask if I can refer someone for cleaning windows, getting credit repair assistance, and on and on – It’s getting more and more difficult to get new people to buy from you, straight out. Some people simply will not buy from those they’ve never heard of and with whom they don’t have a relationship.

Your prospective clients will probably be asking these questions:
– What is this product/service all about?
– What is the main purpose of this product or service?
– How does it solve my problem? Or, help me?
– Is this merchant someone I can trust?
– How do I feel about this offer?

Consider what your prospective clients are looking for. Knowing your target market will help answer these questions during the pre-selling process; by writing copy that “sells” the way you would like to be sold.
