Do You Know What Content Creation Is?

Quality, Targeted Content Quality content has always needs to be our mission.

A huge part of our content being quality drive, is always the need to understand our target audience. It is:

–       Using the right tone of voice;

–       Addressing their needs;

–       Clearly communicating benefits of our products or services;

–       And having a clear call to action.

It’s what works for any business.

  • Over the years I’ve stuck to it, including the keywords that sounded natural in my posts and titles. And, I’m receiving the benefits of being a fan of my ideal prospects and clients.

Clarification and significance is the new king!

What’s that mean? Content is always center stage for our blogging, messaging, and marketing.

  • We still do talk about content being king, it’s just becoming more complex.

I’ve written a lot about the need for our content to address the specific wants and needs of our targeted audience. Such as…

–      Does our content communicate relevance to a specific want or need for our audience?

–      Does our content answer the need better than anyone else?

While much of being seen as an authority by Google, and other search engines, does mean that we need relevant links (inbound and outbound), social shares clicked (I hope you do that here, too!), and comments interaction, it always has involved creating in-depth content that does more than scratch the surface of a need.

  • If someone has some very specific needs and wants for using our products or services, how does our content communicate that?

–      So, how does our content really stand out?

As content creators (infomarketers), we always need to focus on solving real problems and still have basic SEO knowledge. It is being client centered as a business.

  • As content creators, we are always evolving more towards identifying and speaking towards the wants and needs of our audience. Bringing clarity to our messaging.
  • Writing close to the same tone as we would in a live person to person conversation.

–       That’s the language of our audience, as it evolves into our own way of talking and writing for them.

Our mission then as content creators, is a process of relating to how well we understand our targeted audience and who would be interested in our work and services.

Do whatever it takes to figure that out! And, by the way, as they tell you what they want and need, they will be giving you the ideas on things to write about!

  • I suggest…Step into the shoes of your clients and customers as they search online. Think about the words and phrases they use. Think about the problem they have that needs solving. Being in busienss, will force you to know your targeted audience’s inside and out so you can write for them. Tell a story and invoke emotion. Become the “go-to” person in your industry.
  • It’s your time to figure out how to improve the work you do.

Improving your conversational tone and the relevance of how you can help your clients and sharing that with the right keywords, is something to remember as you post articles and messages online for your marketing strategies and tactics in content creation.

I have talked to other marketing coaches but didn’t feel a connection.  Donna actually listened to me and heard what I was trying to say.  She interacted with where I am and was the first one to actually take a look at my sites and what we were talking about while we were talking.   She paid attention to what I was saying and took that to where we needed to go.  Donna did more than just give suggestions (homework) as to where to go next.  She gave positive feedback, which always feels great, and let me know what I was doing correctly. She validated that where I am now and the future I am visualizing is going in the right direction. What a relief!“ Rita Bartholomew, nettingnook.com

    This is excellent information on content marketing, Donna. Sometimes I use search terms that have landed readers to my site, to gain titles for my blog posts. Looking at the search info helps me to hear what my readers are thinking, because the majority of them do not leave comments.

    Thank you for sharing these valuable tips with us! I’m glad I met you through the UBC. Have a great weekend!

    Content is the key to attract clients. One of my major challenges in a very difficult market is creating new content all the time. The market I chose to target is not easy to penetrate and I’m experimenting with what appeals and what doesn’t through my workshops and seminars. Your post gave me great insights on how to approach my clients in a different way than mine. Thank you Donna for a very helpful post!
