By targeting keywords in your online business marketing efforts, you are telling all parties including the search engines what your site is all about.
So – What are keywords?
Usually, a newbie will need to learn how to use organic targeting traffic to help build their client list with less money involved
When you are getting started online, a business coach or advisor will help you think about how your target audience will be searching for your information online. You usually go to a search engine, such as Google or Yahoo, and type in the keywords you are looking for (i.e. Vacation Rentals Big Bear Lake, Poodle training and feeding, or whatever it is you want.)
Google, Yahoo, and other search engines are helping your site get ranked higher and that is driven by:
1. Content (keywords, domain name, tags)
2. Links (inbound, outbound)
3. Activity (traffic, RSS subscriptions, comments, updates, etc.)
I was greatly surprised when my own business coach led a seminar on this – I didn’t know what she knew – because of my own coach’s experience, I was able to change my marketing strategies!
The organic marketing content will have backlinks pointing to your site. Those backlinks will be doing a couple of things.
People will click on them to look at your site and this drives traffic directly to your site.
This will then raise your rankings in the search engines. It does take a while for the content marketing and backlinks to build up.
Links and content alone may get you temporary rankings, but if you want to
stay there you need ACTIVITY.
We all understand that well-written content will catch the eyes and interest of your prospective clients and visitors and keep them coming back for more.
Your content has the keywords that are related to how you help others with your service or the product you sell.
