What bloggers need to know is that blogs need to be found by an interested audience, and then share expertise offering solutions and ideas in what that audience wants to know more about.
You as a blogger, business or otherwise, want to attract a large and dedicated audience that can respond to you immediately.
- Then you need to share what will help solve their problem they need you for.
==> You’re blog is you sharing your thoughts, expertise, and creativity.
So what other reason would your blog be significant on the web and be found by your readers?
No matter what you are writing about, it is a crowded web out there.
You’ve put a lot of work into your blog, you want people to notice it. Your blog is a big communication tool for you on the web.
You are depending on good rankings in Google to get FREE traffic to your blog.
Now grab your intended audience and say ‘Hey, look at what I have for YOU, today!’ 🙂
==> Offer solutions – Solve a Problem – Be the solutions expert.
Know how to be found on the web.
Many of you already are doing that – As you offer…
- Easy, healthy, quick recipes.
- Exercise programs to love 5 pounds in 5 days.
- How to plan a long trip in 3 steps.
- Beautiful novellas, music, and designs that make us want more.
Hitting that sweet spot of desire, making us want more and more of what you’re offering…and get on your list just to find out more!
You get it.
– Grab their attention and get found. Need a few reminders?
Think headlines and add ‘how to’ – it still grabs attention.
Keywords that your audience is searching for in that headline and throughout your blog post grabs the search engines’ attention.
Just a few ideas:
- How to _____ (Be a Blogging Coach or a Dog Trainer for _____)
- How to _____ (Generate Blog Leads or Train Your Dog to Heel)
- How to _____ (be a Business Blogger or How to be Your Dog’s Trainer)
– Now find questions that your own targeted audience needs answers to.
And answer those questions. Give easy solutions and offers of more.
Golden Tip: Meta data and description ==>
- Using your Yoast SEO WP Plugin helps you stay aware and use keywords in your meta data.
- This is the text seen as the description of a site in Google search. Your readers see what you have to offer and are attracted to information that is related to the keywords they put into the search bar.
When you know what bloggers need to know you start to understand how to get Google’s attention also – as your content is relevant to what words your audience searches for to find the solution to their issues.
Pull in your audience with your headliner – and get SEO with your keywords for your target searches.

“The information you give is priceless –I like how you broke down the steps – but if I have to make up my own steps it takes time. We know it’s our business and work – but, when you say step one through 5 I get it! My ah-ha moment – was with the plan – a road map – having it planned out – it is like creating how many miles we’ll cover on a trip, when we are going to have lunches – and this is how I’m seeing this business plan – it’s a road map , it may change along the way and that’s OK.” Patty Davis Owner at Z Sisters

Thanks, Cindy – Yep been blogging for 5+ years now – and these points are routine for me now – I am always looking for more, also 🙂
You have a lot of great tips here. I am most intrigued by your golden tip… the meta data. I am just getting more into my blogging so I am going to check this and make sure I have the right description to point potential readers to my blog. Thanks!

I’ve been lacking on my seo, but I get it. I plan to go back through at least the important posts and target my keywords better, along with focusing on the upcomming info.

At the moment my meta data is a couple of sentences from my latest blog post. I need to go and look at what my central message is.
Thanks for this reminder 🙂

It’s interesting that we can put our own data in to share – glad I could be of help, Victoria 🙂
You made some excellent pointers. With that said, I’ve recently read some studies that show the use of “how to” has become sooo over used, that many potential visitors ignore headlines using it and more often click through to read; why and when. Why you should consider it. When it should be done. Food for thought! Thanks for the share… 🙂

Thanks for your note, Michel – you make some great points – the how does still work and pulls people in – it’s actually what I search for when researching – How to make (say pot roast – or a flower arrangement) so yes it is still used a lot – I believe as much as your great suggestions 🙂
You make good points and share good ideas for aspiring bloggers to learn from. knowing who is reading and what they want will help you become more successful. Enjoyed it!
