Are You Stuck in Business?

stuck-in-businessI didn’t know that I felt stuck in business the first 2 years of my coaching!

Why?

I could pick from a wide range of potential options.  I was unclear how to narrow down my choices and focus on one to get me moving.

Whew! So many decisions.

I just could not get the understanding what I was passionate about in business and find any one way to move and make a choice.

Have you ever felt that way?

But, what did you do?

Here’s what I felt I needed to do as I started to focus on getting unstuck in business and I listened to my intuition (of course) to lead me on what to do next.

If you’re not yet used to tuning into your inner self…

Then think about that gut feeling, or idea, and make a point of exploring that and take steps to move on it, test it out.

That’s what I’ve done over the years.

I’ve always shared that when I started as a Business Coach, I didn’t know what I wanted to teach and share. I had so much experience in building businesses to becoming successful money making machines, that I could teach a lot of online and offline strategies to help my ideal clients get where they wanted to be without so much struggling.

My strong desire was always teaching how to run a business systematically.

What’s that mean?

I had discovered a way to continually increase revenue by creating and following systems and I could share this step by step guidance with others that would quickly help conscious entrepreneurs get beyond that feeling of being stuck in their own business!

Now I had a clear view of my next step.

I enjoy what I do so much more since I found the hidden potential and passion I had to share with the world.

What about you?

I’ve read that 95% of entrepreneurs experience a stuck in business indecision, which leads to inactivity in growing.

==> Often causing, what I call, ‘chasing the magic bullet’ syndrome.

So, what can you really do if you’re feeling stuck in business?

1. Take a look at your gifts, talents, and experiences.

2. Discover the one thing that you are truly passionate about sharing.

3. Then make a disciplined promise towards your behavior to get out of being stuck in business.

“The information you give is priceless –I like how you broke down the steps – but if I have to make up my own steps it takes time. We know it’s our business and work – but, when you say step one through 5 I get it!  My ah-ha moment – was with the plan – a road map – having it planned out – it is like creating how many miles we’ll cover on a trip, when we are going to have lunches – and this is how I’m seeing this business plan – it’s a road map , it may change along the way and that’s OK.” Patty Davis  Owner at Z Sisters

When you do what you’re really passionate about, it shows, and people want to listen. We should definitely work out of our strengths.

Again, another post that applies to life in general, not just to business. Living life backwards – an interesting concept. I also wanted to let you know I love how you format your posts – skillful, and it helps avoid reader fatigue.

Excellent post Donna! Yes, following our intuition and finding our true purpose in business and life – then reverse-engineering it to figure out what to do now – and then just sticking to it is definitely a formula for success and getting “unstuck”! Really love this post! Thanks! 🙂

When I started feeling overwhelmed I picked up what I mostly enjoy and love. I am still focusing on it, every single day and…guess what? I am attracting more and more opportunities dealing with my passion, I think this is amazing!

I think that for mom entrepreneurs is hard to keep a balance between, house chores, kids and even marriage, and this could also lead to failure and lack of motivation.

This comes at a great time for me while hubby and I sat down and discussed the direction of our businesses and made a great plan to streamline so we can both bring our gifts together to serve more people.
Thanks for the great post, Donna!
