Need a Successful Social Media Content Marketing Plan?

successful-Social-Media-content-marketing-planYes! Your successful Social Media content marketing plan is a most essential ingredient for your business success.

To get a successful Social Media content marketing plan together is to understand what’s involved and how it will be implemented.

Your goals:

  • Work out what you want and what you hope can be achieved by putting into place a successful Social Media content marketing plan.

Your own short term, and long term, successful Social Media content marketing plan will be driven by one big idea:

  • Having original, engaging, content that will attract more visitors (customers) and traffic to your community as your blog/business will hopefully gain trust and credibility; while offering appealing benefits to attract new traffic, keep loyal visitors, and those visitors will become customers, who will send you more customers.

Smart brands, and blogs, have accepted this one big idea and are focusing their marketing on generating content their community will want to bookmark, download, and share with their own friends.

This is the life of your Social Media plan and it depends on a steady supply of nourishing content:

  • Your Blog / Website
  • Social media platforms
  • In‐person appearances
  • Press Releases
  • Images, photos
  • Video
  • Audio

The challenge then comes in making sure your content gets noticed.

A big part of your successful Social Media content marketing plan will be the actions necessary to get your content found:

  • Search engine optimization
  • Keywords and Keyphrases
  • Communicating effectively
  • Making connections
  • Sharing the right content
  • Engaging your audience
  • Being in the right place with your information
  • Inspiring raving fans and customer action
  • Supporting the needs and wants of your customers
  • Positioning your personality in a way that creates attention for your brand.

Do you have time for a successful Social Media content marketing plan to be put into action on a regular basis?

Expecting results overnight probably will bring disappointment. That means you use time as an investment by setting up the groundwork even if you don’t see the benefits right away.

How can you do it?

Having a Social Media plan is the major principal activity for your business and blog.

These steps will involve:

  • ƒ Identifying goals and objectives
  • ƒ Finding your audiences
  • ƒ Developing tactics
  • ƒ Analytics
  • ƒ Content planning
  • ƒ Defining resources
  • ƒ Training

Do you have the determination to learn how and to make it your long term marketing plan?

If you make having a successful Social Media implementation plan your priority?  You’ll reap the rewards in the ‘long term’.

Passion is the gasoline of social media.” convinceandconvert.com

I like the idea of having a social media plan. It’s a great way of viewing how to build one’s platform. I just need to be able to balance my time and write otherwise social media will take up all my time. So the key is also balance as it can get very overwhelming.

Good for you, Jenn – this summer I visited with a copywriter and she said her coach told her to promote her blog – but didn’t tell her how – so I shared how to promote and get people back to sign up for her great info. Yes, getting traffic is a huge part of it all and thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! Maybe you’ll be ready soon to join our Blogging Mastermind – where I teach, coach and within our own supportive blogging community!

A plan is definitely needed. Although I know people who are not doing anything because they don’t have a plan. They have not had time to come up with a plan so they just do nothing. So sometimes doing anything to get your content out there is better than nothing at all. Then as you start to see some success you are more motivated to create an intentional plan to make your success even bigger. 🙂

That is so right Cindy – and it is how I started – well, almost – my plan was to blog and build a list and go from there! lol

Social Media plays such a key role in the marketing of your site. I don’t think enough people understand what they’re missing if they’re not utilizing it correctly.
