Law of Responsibility and Business

law-of-responsibility-and-businessDo you believe that the Law of Responsibility and Business means that you are completely responsible for everything you are and for everything you become and achieve?

Ralph Waldo Emerson realized the importance of your responsibility to yourself when he wrote, “Man becomes what he thinks about all day long.”

So, you control your thinking and become what you think about most. Therefore, it would make sense to say that only you are responsible for what happens in your business and life.

You are what and where you are because of yourself.

I took advantage of opportunities by taking responsibility for my feelings at the ripe age of 5 years old.

How did I use the Law of Responsibility and Business at such a young age?

I lived in a neighborhood with a gang of rough kids, and I was the baby. Now if you fit in, you were good, BUT, if you know me, I like to stand apart and stand out in life and business. Even then I stood out. (You can learn more about becoming Business Savvy <==click on the words)

So, when I was given a choice to learn how to fight fairly for myself, I said ‘ok’. And, the coaching began.

Taking the Law of Responsibility and Business into hand, I gained the respect of the ‘gang’. Opportunities arose and I started successful little businesses at the suggestion and help of my family. I became a pretty popular little gal.

This was me starting to learn the results of taking responsibility.

We are each responsible for how we feel and act. I didn’t like being at the bottom of the rung, even at 5.

Being responsible for our thoughts and actions is mandatory for happiness and growth in our businesses and life. Because I took responsibility, all of a sudden I was a winner.

The fun thing I started to notice while taking responsibility for my thinking and actions, was that more opportunities opened up for me. As I helped others in business and having fun, more wanted to help me.

The Law of Responsibility and Business also points out that the more you blame others, less people will want to have anything to do with you.

“Thank you to my social media guru, who I met with before my September trip to Africa. She, Coaching Business Entrepreneur, Donna L. Ward, walked me through the blogging process, so I could bring you my updates as I traveled through Kenya and Tanzania. Although I could not always post due to limited connections, with her help, I was able to bring you play by play, day by day accounts of what I was seeing and doing as I traversed across the two countries. Thank you Donna, of course more to come on my December trip – that will be less property site inspection and more of the safari game viewing sites. Set up your own meeting with Ms. Donna, you won’t be sorry.” Safari Kay

Great post. I think you were very fortunate enough to be able to learn this rule at such a young age.

I particularly like this summary “So, you control your thinking and become what you think about most. Therefore, it would make sense to say that only you are responsible for what happens in your business and life.”

I will keep this in my mind to make sure the right thoughts are mirroring my circumstances.

Isn’t it wonderful how accurate advice that has stood the test of time is. That Ralph Waldo Emerson was some ‘tuned in’ dude. Is he the guy who wrote “The Law Of Compensation”. Either way, I loved how you took us back to your childhood memories to make the advice more real. May-be its true that “Everything You Need To Know You Learn In Kindergarden”. Soooo looking forward to the journey continuing. To mis-quote Jefferson Airplane – “Everything we think we are, we are – and we are very proud of ourselves” 🙂 prp
