How to Use Awesome Content to Generate Leads and Sales

content-to-generate-leads-and-salesYou set up your blog, publish your posts and share your content.

You have a big dream and hope the work you’ve put in will be awesome content to generate leads and sales!

Most of the time your dreams are not immediately realized.

Yes, I know.

We’ve all spent hours on social media only to be disappointed by a zero return on our investment of time.

So what do you do?

You focus strategically as you build trust promoting your awesome content to generate leads and sales.

Note: This information may just be a repeat lesson of what you might already know and have implemented.

  • But are you really building and executing strategies to use content to generate leads and sales?

Something you need to think about…

If you want to have a captive audience to share with and generate $$$, you’ll need to attract leads.

Think about that for a minute.

⇒ As part of your strategy, you may create a free e-book for your optin so that your blog readers get more value through your work and you’re sharing content to generate leads that will build your email list.

  • This great ebook, or report you put together, can reveal your knowledge on a topic or problem that you know your audience will want to hear more about.

hook your readersI’ve just shared one way that you can use content to generate more qualified leads to build your email list. It’s also a call to action or your hook to pull them into wanting more.

Did you know?

Email marketing is a valuable communication tool for content marketing.

When you mix in email content for your readers, you’re getting even more power for keeping your message consistent.

  • You’re delivering valuable insights of what you offer to your prospects without directly selling to them.

It goes something like this

Someone visits your health blog, they take a closer look at the information you’re sharing on Candida Support.  She finds information that she thinks her neighbor would also find very useful. She makes a note to herself so she’ll make sure to come back.

Now, what are the chances that she’ll actually be back?

Very slim.

Fortunately, your health blog has a newsletter sign-up that offers some free tips on a diet that helps control Candida in exchange for her email address.

Now your reader is ready to give her information. She’s been CONVERTED from a casual reader to a prospect that wants more information from you.

  • You’ll now email her consistently with ideas to continue her health and Candida exploration.
  • Even sharing exciting news, more tips, or sales going on, plus giveaways to enter, and coupons, also you’ll give her information about where she can check out products to purchase.

During holidays or special events, your subscriber will receive an email from you reminding her to get her shopping done early.

BOOM! Your subscriber buys.

Now she’s CONVERTED from a prospect into a happy client.

Your new subscriber sees a transformation in her energy and health from the information she received through you and the purchases she made because you shared.

She even sends you a note that you can use as a testimonial about the results she got because of the information you gave her.

Your subscriber also included a before and after picture showing her weight loss. And starts sharing her results on social media and with her other friends offline.

She describes how she was trying to find a reason for her exhaustion and weight gain. She told everyone that she found your health blog and got on your list for more tips and information that transformed her life.

NOW others see this and realize that this may be helpful for them or a friend.

Some may head over to your health blog because they saw a social media post shared where your subscriber was highlighted.

Seeing such a wonderful change in her health and weight, they wonder, “This Candida could be a health issue for me, also.” They read about how great you take care your clients and sign up for your list. Then, start making purchases from the sites you’ve suggested.

All of this is helping you stay in front of your ideal audience as you used content to generate leads and sales.

Better still …

You’ll be sharing content that will stand out and build your authority on all of your social media platforms ~ including your email marketing.

You’re using content to generate leads and sales.

Being that my primary source of income is a salesman, one thing I understand all too well is that in order to gain business, and especially to maintain repeat business, you can’t simply sit back and expect the calls for orders to just happen. You have to constantly actively pursue the sale until that phone call becomes habit for the customer. I like using a number of things to accomplish this—and certainly some of the ideas you present here are part of that. Every action should lead to a reaction. The hope in sales is that the reaction leads to more money in our pockets, and happy and satisfied customers who tell others about who you are, what you can do for them, and why they should also be your customer.

Thank you, Jim- this was excellent – and I have learned and of course, teach others that we have to keep contacting and building our lists in order to get their attention and a reaction that will lead to a sale!

As a man with a new blog this article speaks to me (in good ways of course). I’ve been posting articles for a few weeks now and I’m not famous so I figured I was doing something wrong. I see now it’s all going to take time and I need to work smarter and not harder. I’m going to incorporate some of these ideas into my game plan. thanks!
