Are There Benefits to Blogging?

benefits-to-bloggingYes! There are benefits to blogging!

One of the great benefits to blogging is bringing new visitors to your blog even as you promote on your social media platforms!

What are some of the additional benefits to blogging?

  • Reach a wider audience

We already know that blogging can help you be discovered online as you can strengthen your social reach, your online relationships, with your content.

==> You don’t need technical expertise or a large budget to build your online presence.

You set up your blog, give out great content, promote, and interact with your visitors. Why?

Because having visitors come to your site, gives you an opportunity to get feedback and build a small community.

  • Benefits of a Blogging Community

You can be growing a community through comments and interaction as you talk with your visitors, inviting them to join in the conversations.

==> Even as you’re focusing on your readers and their interest.

One of the big benefits to blogging, is that you can become more useful to your visitors as you learn more from them through the interactions on your blog.

==> Persuade your visitors, asking for feedback and comments.

You’ll be encouraging interactive conversations through direct messages on Social Media. Which will benefit you in getting to know your readers.

I’ve built business relationships more quickly with my blog and sharing my no-cost Build Your List tele-class that I promote on my blog and Social Media. Helping both my readers and myself to get a better understanding of each other!

==> Why do you want to know your readers? Answer that in the comments below – I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I enjoy getting to visit with my readers even as I can enjoy being the ‘loner’ and the Social Butterfly sitting in front of my keyboard.

You know social proof is big and can come as you are building your blogging community.

==> What do I think when I visit blogs with 10 or more comments?

I wonder what is so interesting. Then I read the article and the comments to learn more about the blog!

  • Branding and benefits to blogging

As you build your community and receive positive attention from your visitors:

You’ll be creating value-based and long term connections that helps you create a more compelling brand.

Unique and informative posts keep your ideal audience coming back for more, holding their interest without trying to sale to them – even as you understand that your blogging efforts are more than the content you give.

That’s building consistency and a trustworthiness for your site! That’s great branding.

These are just some the benefits to blogging.

Sometimes blogging can seem simple, yet feel complicated. Right?

==> So…What questions would you like me to blog about?

Thanks, Laurel – What are some of the benefits you’ve found – and what’s your favorite

Another great post, Donna. I like getting to know my audience because I want to give them what they want. The only way to do that is to ask them! I write about animals and have come to find out there is about as much interest in posts about domestic animals as there are about wildlife or exotic pets. That’s good to know, and I enjoy satisfying my readers. Thank you for the food for thought that you always give me, Donna. Peace

You’re right, engaging your community is essential. I like the tip about asking questions. I’m always a little afraid to post questions to my wall for fear that I’ll hear crickets…

Blogging does have its benefits. I use blogging mostly as a way to just express my thoughts and feelings. I’m not very social, so blogging is my go-to way to interact in a way that is comfortable with me.
