Is Authentic Marketing Real?

Authentic MarketingUsing Marketing Transparency to Build Consumer Trust.

This is not what we usually think of when we use the word marketing. Marketing has become synonymous with the word “hype”.

As a small business, how do you earn your prospects’ trust?

“It’s the emotional benefits that make you a brand and get you into people’s lives so they come back time and time again.”  Jim Joseph, branding expert and author of The Experience Effect for Small Business.

–          We know that the consumer just doesn’t believe us anymore. They’ve had too many empty promises, too many exaggerated benefits, and too many artful disclaimers.

  • Earning trust as the marketing expert for your small business means you need to be heard and believed.

Which makes it all the more important that once you’ve earned the trust of a possible client, you honor that trust.

–          A quick tip: When you learn how to communicate with connection, you can achieve instant credibility.

And: Credibility leads into trust; trust has more of a chance of allowing a relationship to bloom, and a trust worthy relationship can help  in understanding your customers’ needs and wants.

– You begin helping them make better decisions in their purchases. Which is growing a more profitable business with income producing sales.

So what is authentic communication in marketing, and how can we learn this?

  • First, know that it is your clients that want this transparency and authentic marketing to be real.

As usual it starts with knowing your ideal client, what they want and how they communicate.

–          This is your basic building block for creating and putting together your authentic marketing ideas that can be used to build and grow a successful business.

The more real, relaxed, and confident you are at delivering your marketing communications, the more you’ll notice a consistent rapport with your ideal target market and helping it be easier to have a real conversation with them as they become more curious in learning about what you have to offer.

  • This, then is aligning your business mission with a clear, authentic marketing message so you can attract your ideal clients.

You can become an authentic, clear, and confident communicator of what you do so that people are naturally pulled to want to hear more from you.

That is what authentic marketing is. It is pre-selling, and pulling your idea client to you with the real offers and skills you offer in helping them with specific solutions and transformations.

I am working hard at establishing rapport with those visiting my blog and developing a reputation for being real and concerned about my readers. The thing I find frustrating is the other stuff – the ins and outs of marketing. It doesn’t matter what I say if no one reads it!

Yep – you are right Val – if you have not visitors to collect emails and build your list with, then it’s just a fun thing for you to do. What are you goals for your site – I visited it – I would just suggest an optin to collect the visitors info that want to learn more from you – of course with an ethical bribe for them when they optin (an ebook or short report) – So do check out http://donnalward.com/aweber (my affiliate link to the autoresponder) and you’ll see how to add an optin box to your site = and if you have questions about marketing your site join my free weekly Open Forum Q&A Call – save your spot at http://donnalward.com/buildyourlist – Thank you so much for your note 🙂
