What are the skills, knowledge, attitude and action required in successful entrepreneurs?

Well…

As an entrepreneur, you may not need to have all the skills and knowledge to reach your goals. But, successful entrepreneurs have shown their attitude and action will define who they are in the business world.

  • This is using your personal abilities and independence to take a more powerful lead in your decisions and intentions.

There is no step-by-step attitude and action plan to becoming a successful entrepreneur.

But, there are characteristics that entrepreneurs seem to share, and skills they can develop, even as they break free to succeed in their own style.

What are a couple of the characteristics you must have…

  • Know your passion – what is behind your ‘big why’?
    • You ally your mind with your heart to pull you out of bed with an eagerness to get your business day started.
    • When you are truly committed to doing what you love – you have a desire. The attitude and action for success.
  • If you think you can? You can!
    • Find your self-confidence!
    • You have to really, really know, have faith – that you can overcome the obstacles that will come your way.
    • Understand your past accomplishments and you’ll find that you have the right to be self-confident!
  • You are an information seeker as an entrepreneur.
    • Attitude and action brings a willingness to learn and grow.
    • Gaining valuable information from others to take the next steps towards your goals.
  • As an entrepreneur, you can build upon your business skills to help you succeed.
    • If you don’t have the talent for putting a plan together? Learn how, because it is your strategic, key skill.
    • Marketing and communication are skills you’ll learn and continually improve.

Love the WHY part you are bring up. As a fellow blogger noted, if you don’t know your big WHY, then you’re just doing the motions without fully understanding how each of the actions connect.

The big why – I love what I do (as a salaried employee) – the last time I had to look for work I used a book, What Color is Your Parachute, to research and find my “big why” rather than just take the first job interview offered me. Know yourself, and the rest follows.
