Article Marketing

There must be a reason why some people are still promoting article marketing as a way to create income and sales.

I wanted to follow up with you and what you may have read in my own article marketing activities, emails, and what you have been reading online.

Guess What?
If you want to tackle article marketing seriously, then plan on doing 120 articles per month! Seriously…

And, Now – You Need a Google Update… By now you know that Google made a significant change to its ranking system that has been dubbed “Google Farmer.”

Some marketers have tried to capitalize on this as “the end of article marketing”.

We have to know that these marketers have vested interests in selling their products. So they’re quick to jump on the news and spin in it in their favor to try to push their own products.

Yet…Nothing really did change for us. Our article marketing goal is still the same as it needed to be before this Google change.

1. We continue to have high-quality content in our articles.
2. We use keywords to attract our target audience.
3. We publish our articles to online directories on a regular basis.

My own routine at least 3-4 times a week:
1. Search out keywords for my blog post – title and content
2. I then repurpose the post – putting it up at ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, and squidoo.com.
3. My resource box has anchor text back to my optin page.
4. I keep to my article writing and submission goals.

  • I have read that on average: For you to get 1,000 visitors, you only need 34 articles with an average of 29 clicks back to your own site, or optin page, per article. And, this still depends on what your topic, keywords and categories are.
  • Don’t depend on any one article – or 34 articles – to do this for you!

Now Your Assignment – take it seriously:

1. The actual number of articles you write each week needs to remain constant, so that you get into a routine, a system that you are comfortable with. If you can only do 1- 5 per week, do that. But if you could write 5-20 articles per week? Wow – That would give you 100 articles and a possible 200-300 opt ins at the end of the first month – according to studies I have read! I think it is a credible goal!
2. Remember an important part of article marketing, use a primary keyword when writing your articles; which is the single keyword that MOST matches the content you’ve got on your blog or web site. This is the one you hope to rank the highest for in the search engines.
3. Write content worth linking to, and you will have a bright future with Google.
